I'm sure everyone has a little (or, as in may case, big) stash of plastic bags lying around the house. We just magically accrue them even though I do take my own fabric bags to put groceries in. You just get these bags everywhere! Well I know I could use these as trash bags, but I don't like the thought of these ending up in our landfills. I wanted a more creative way to use them up.
So I searched on the internet and found so many creative ways to use plastic bags. Yes, you read right... plastic bags. Thanks here to all those creative resourceful folks who put this information on the internet, I can't take credit for it.
Sis, I know you're speechless...me complaining about not having enough time on my hands, and doing something like this, hee hee. But sometimes you gotta make time for stuff like this.
Here is the picturesque run down of my project:
All you need are plastic bags, scissors and a big crocheting needle.

I think it's fab! what a great idea!
ReplyDeletethanks for popping by and ryc: Mr BC doesn't get a choice, haha!

Howdie! I was going over my booked marked files and noticed I must have saved your blog from way back. I really like your plastic crochet idea. It reminds me of the time my family was in Mexico and I had purchased colorful hulu skirts for my daughter and her friend. These hulu outfits were crocheted from plastic bags too. We still have those skirts and they were from many years ago. Plastic will last forever, right?

Hi Sarah and Helen, Thanks for stopping by! Yes, I think those things made out of plastic are pretty neat, I just wish I had more time for things like this...there are so many ideas out there! I have some ideas for old shampoo bottles also. I hope to put those up on the blog one day.
