Scorpions live @ Ludwigsburg

What a great concert! The Scorpions rockin the new Arena in Ludwigsburg, together with the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele Orchestra.

Interesting for sure to play together with an orchestra. Deep Purple and Metallica have done it and Nightwish always has that orchestra sound, and I'm sure very many other bands have tried it also.

Last night, it was well done indeed, it was the perfect mixture of classic and hard rock.
It was a mixed crowd, but mostly 30+ so it was kind of reserved at first. The band was rocking from the get go, it took the audience some time to get going (maybe that's a German thang). No doubt, for some it was probably the first time seeing a hard rock band ... towards the end, the atmosphere was amazing though! It just can't be captured on a handy so I've linked a youtube spot. Hope somebody has filmed the grand finale because that was just indescribably fantabulous.
