Summer interlude

Yesterday after coming home from work, it looked like it was going to be one of those days that do not seem to have enough hours in it. All those things that needed to be done and are oh so important. First I wanted to run an errand and drop something off at my sister-in-laws place, when I called she said that she and the kids were just about to go out for a walk and invited me to join them. I gladly accepted, happy for the little summer interlude.
I'm so glad I did, it was a wonderful walk and we really enjoyed the last day of summer for this year.

My nephew inspired me to take a bunch of pictures (he did the same... budding little photographer he is). While I'm sitting here uploading the photos I have to think of my mother and how we used to go for walks all over our little town. She would take my then little one and be gone for hours on end just him and her. I'd wonder where the heck they were and realize now that she was enjoying that precious grandma time all on her own. Mom, you may recognize some of these little corners.
